There are three basic types of hammocks; rope, fabric and string. The rope hammock is the one you'll see most consistently in travel ads.This is easily the most eye catching of the three. The fabric hammock is made for comfort and durability. It was actually used for bunks in the navy. The third style is the string hammock. This tightly woven and high capacity style is the choice weave of artisans.
