January 5, 2007, Newsletter Issue #45: Hammocks around pools

Tip of the Week

If you have a pool and a hammock there's a very good chance the two will be in the same vicinity. Be careful for two things with this combo: tipping and hammock deterioration. You should probably go with a polyester fabric due to the chlorine water that will be sure to saturate it. If you make your own stand you should be sure to use galvanized screws to prevent rusting and water treat any of your hammock stand wood. Also so not put your hammock too close to the pool itself to avoid possible tipping into the pool.
